SEPTEMBER WEATHER
WANGANUI RECORDINGS. Nineteen wet days were experienced in Wanganui during last month, according to official records kept by the Wanganui City Council. The total rainfall for the month was 4.45 inches, and the greatest amount on any one day was .91in. recorded on the 24th. This compares with rain on 17 days in the same period last year, when the total rainfall was 4.15 in. The total number of hours of sunshine recorded was 135.7, the daily average being 4.5 hours, as against 181 (.2 hours lor September, 1942.
Wind miles last month amounted to 4882, compared with 5107 miles for th o same period last year. The highest maximum temperature was 66.7 degrees, on the 22nd.. and the lowest minimum 33.1 degrees,’recorded on the 27th. The lowest grass minimum was 27.5 degrees on the 27th. The range in temperature was 13.1 degrees, the rrzcfrn temperature lor the month being 51.9 degrees. During last month there were recordings of frost, fog and dew.
