TOM NEWMAN DEAD
FAMOUS BILLIARDIST CHAMPION Recd. 6 p.m. London. Sept. 30. The death has occurred of Tom Newman, billiardist, after several years’ illness from a throat I rouble which caused him to enter hospital several times. He gave up the game about a year ago after participating in numerous exhibition matches on behalf of charity.
