WILL HOLD CONFERENCE WITH CHURCHILL Recd. 6 p.m. Rugby, Aug. 30. The Canadian Prime Minister, Mr. Mackenzie King, with members of the Canadian War Committee, to-day left Ottawa to see Mr. Churchill. Mr. Roosevelt, since his return to Washington from Quebec, has had a series of conferences described by Mr. Stephen Early as “post-Quebec conferences.” Mr. Roosevelt met Dr. T. V. Soong, the Chinese Foreign Minister, and later consulted with United States Army and air corps chiefs of staff. Mr. Eden to-day attended a War Cabinet meeting in London.—B.O.W.
