INCREASE IN PENSIONS Canberra, March 20. After a 26-hour sitting the House of Representatives passed the Commonwealth Repatriation Bill by which soldiers’ pensions are increased 20 per cent. Attempts to increase them by 33 1-3 to 50 per cent, were not successful. New and important amendments to the Bill include the establishment of a Parliamentary committee of six members to report on all repatriation problems.
