RED CROSS V.A.D.
ANNUAL MEETING AT TAIHAPE (0.C.) Taihape, March 16. There was a good attenaance at th« annual meeting of the Red Cross VjL Detachment, ’me superintendent, Mi* Stewart, gave an outline ot the year’i and the commandant, Miss M. Little, outlined the details of the Civil Nursing Reserve to oe formed. It was decided to hold the Stewart Cup Competition on June 12, and the V.A.D. dance on March 25. An appeal was made for cellophane paper for cellography work for returned soldiers. A vote ot thanks was passed to Miss Treadwell for her effort to raise funds.
The election of officers for 1943 resulted;—Lady superintendent, Mrs. C. A. Stewart; commandant. Miss Little; assistant commandant, Mrs. Cunningham; secretary. Miss L. Chestnutt; medical adviser. Dr. 11. M. Hay: quartermaster, Miss Keegan; assistant quartermaster, Mrs. Cunningham; drill sergeant, area officer, section leaders, Mrs. Rea (1), Mrs. Simpson (2). Miss Auld (3i, Mrs. Lowry (4), Mrs. Dodds (deputy); train organiser. Miss P. Scott.
