Y.M.C.A. LADIES’ AUXILIARY

At this month’s meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ Auxiliary the election of officers took place with Mrs. Wickham in the chair. General regret was expressed when Mrs. Hair, who has since passed away, could not stand for president through continued indifferent health, and her loyal service for some years was placed on record. The following were elected: Presi-dent-chairman, Mrs. I. McDougal; secretary, Mrs. I. D. Summerell (reelected); treasurer, Mrs. A. Rowling (re-elected); vice-presidents, Mrs. G. Simpson, Mrs. D. Pollock, Mrs. H. L. Dustin (all re-elected), and Mrs. I. C. Wickham.

Mrs. McDougal gave an interesting report on the Sunday teas for visiting servicemen, which Mrs. McDougal convenes for the auxiliary with the assistance of women’s organisations which donate eatables.

Mesdames A. G. Paul and A. I Butcher served afternoon tea.
