WANGANUI EAST RETAIN TROPHY I - A Wanganui East Bowling Cluo .rink had no difficulty yesterday afternoon in defending a challenge from the Gonville Club for the Keesing Cup. On the seventh head the score stood at 10-4 in Wanganui East’s favour. The eighth head saw Gonville secure a three, and they did not score again until the 14th end, when they secured a single, the score being 18-8 against them. By the time the 17th end was reached the score was 27 to 8 in Wanganui East’s favour. On the remaining ends Gonville put on eight points. Details are:— Beauchamp, Rush. Carveil.
