DIVIDENDS DECLARED

Woolworths (Victoria), Ltd., have declared a dividend for the half-year ending March 31, 1943, on the 7 i>er cent, preference ehares, payable on April 15. Transfer books close from March 24 to March 31 inclusive.

I), and W. Chandler, Ltd., have declared an Interim dividend for the half-year ended December 31 on the preference shares at the rate of 6 per cent, per annum, payable on March 25. Transfer books clooe from March 16 to March 25 inclusive. The directors state that trading has become increasingly difficult because of shortage of supplies and general conditions.

Cox bros. (Aus.), Ltd., have declared interim dividends for the half-year ended January 31 at the rate of 7 per cent, per annum on the A and B preference shares and 7) per cent per annum on the ordinary shares, payable on March 31. Transfer books close at 5 p.m. on March 15. The Silverton Tramwav Co., Ltd., haa declared a dividend of yd a share, payable on March 30.

Felt and Textiles, Ltd., have declared Interim dividends for the half-year ended December 31 of 5 per cent, on ordinary shares, an unchanged rate, and 3 per cent, on first preference shares, payable on April 1. The Melbourne and Sydney transfer hooka will close from March 16 to March 20 inclusive.
