All the greatest entertainers of the stage, the screen, the radio, the dance and grand opera put on the greatest show the screen has ever shown in Samuel Goldwyn’s glorious technicolour screen musical, “The Goldwyn Follies,” which screens at the Opera House to-day. Produced on the most magnificent scale of any musical in cinema history, this most ambitious of all the great Goldwyn's screen ventures does great credit to the name it bears. Offering a cast headed by Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy, radio's No. 1 stars, Adolphe Menjou, The Ritz Brothers, Zorina, the beautiful young premiere ballerina of the Ballet Russe, who is a splendid actress as well as a great dancer; Kenny Baker, Helen Jepson, the lovely Metropolitan Opera star who makes a brilliant film debut; Andrea Leeds, Phil Baker, Ella Logan and Bobby Clark. Woven into the story are countless unforgettable production numbers, including two beautiful ballets, which prove a welcome addition to screen entertainment. Among the many hit tunes introduced by the film are "Love Walked In,” “I Was' Doing AU Right.” “I Love to Rhyme,” “Love Is Here To Stay” and "Spring Again.” New Buck Jones Serial. At the matinee to-day, Buck Jones will be seen in a brand new serial “White Eagle,” depicting the days when the West was really wild.
