CHURCH OF ENGLAND. Extensive repairs to the parish hall have just been completed. This work was commenced about a month ago and the building now is in first-class repair. It is hoped to have the hall painted at an early date. The St. Margaret’s Young People's Club held a very successful dance in the parish hall on Wednesday. The music was supplied by Mr. George and David Martin was M.C. This is the first of a series of dances and socials arranged by the Church of England in connection with its work among the young people. The Ash Wednesday services at St. Margaret's Church were well attended, particularly the children's service held during the afternoon. At night there was evening prayer with a lull choir and procession. The preliminary work in connection with the campaign for Christian Order for 1943 in the parish is being arranged and it is hoped to have many "cottage" services on week-days in the country districts at an eariy date. An inspection was recently made of all church properties by the St. Margaret’s Vestry and where necessary, repairs are to be carried out. MAJESTIC THEATRE, Good things always come in fours, first we had "Four Daughters,” then “Four Wives” and now to-day we present a' brand new generation ot happiness, “Four Mothers,” with the same cast as charmed you in the earlier successes, the three Lane Sisters, Priscilla, Rosemary and Lola, with Gale Page, Claude Rains, Jetfrey Lynn, Eddie Albert, May Robson, Dick Foran and Frank McHugh.
