TURAKINA BRANCH. The first meeting of the above branch for the year 1943 took place at St. Andrew’s Hail on February 25. The president, Mrs. J. A. Jones, Grice, J. Fitches, Collins, Misses B. Baldwin, Knox, Wilson. The resignation of Mrs. N. G. Glasgow was received with deep regret. The next meeting of tne Branch, which is on the 4th. Thursday ol March, is to be held at. the residence of Mrs. W. Glasgow, "Invermailie.” A bring-and-buy stall is to be a feature of the afternoon. All members are asked to rally round and help make the afternoon a successful one. During the afternoon a very interesting address was given by Mrs. Harris on post-war poolems, particularly the benefit our country would derive from a well-developed immigration scheme. Clearly something will have to be done to ensures lasting peace and imigration seems to be the sanest policy. Business for the afternoon being concluded hostesses served an enjoyable afternoon tea.
