IMPORTANT TO N.Z.

POST WAR AIR TRANSPORT Recd. 6 p.m. London, March 10. Air transport is one of the most widely-discussed subjects in Britain, both from war-time and post-war viewpoints. The House of Lords and the House of Commons will both shortly be debating its many aspects, and there will probably be created an Air Transport Command to play a part in ail war theatres. It will be of particular interest to New Zealand, as that Dominion is an important air pose, through which is flowing the provision of arms and supplies for regaining parts of the British Empire occupied by the Japanese, also China. Interest is naturally taken in the part New Zealand is prepared to play. It is an opportunity to prove of strategic importance to the Dominion post-war air transport between America, Australia, and India, and gives New Zealand an interest in postwar commercial aviation.
