WAVERLEY FARMERS MEET

(0.C.) Waverley, March 10. The Government’s needs for increased production were explained to farmers in the Waverley district, when a well-attended meeting was arranged recently by the Wanganui District Primary Production Council. The sec-retary-organiser, Mr. A. R. Donaldson, emphasised that increased quantities of wheat, barlev and eggs were particularly required. Mr. C. H. Sorenson, supervisor of the Taranaki District Pig Council, dealt with the need for increasing outputs of pig meats. He indicated how a substantial increase could be achieved by careful management. The speaxers answered questions and at the conclusion of the meeting the chairman, Mr. W. Mathews, thanked them for the information they had given farmers, and for making such a meeting possible in Waverley.
