Mr. W. G. Liddell, Stratford, has been apointed a coroner.

I Mr. R. G .Taiboys. Wanganui, has I been elected, president of the New Zealand Institute ot Architects.

Mr. Justice Smith, who presided a the quarterly session of the Supreme Court, Wanganui, which concluded yesterday, leaves this morning lor New Plymouth, where he will preside at the session opening there on Monday morning. Bro. J. H. Kench was installed as District Grand Master and Bro. C. V. Christiansen as Deputy District Grand Master at the Wanganui District Conference of M.U.L0.0.F. held in Wanganui this week. The installing officer, Bro. H. Sharman, made eulogistic reference tc the capable manner in which Bro. S. Cowley had carried out his duties as Grand Master, and expressed the hope that the newly-in-stalled officer would have a pleasant and successful time.
