SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. Mrs. J. F. I'.. Robertson, of Lower Hutt, who has been visiting Wanganui, will return heme to-day. Mrs. G. Bergin and Miss T. Berger have returned to Wanganui from a visit to Auckland. Mrs. J. Leslie Lambert, Hunterville, who has been staying with Miss D. Howie, St. John's Hill, will return home during the week-end. Staying with Mrs. Hewetson, Gloucester Street, is her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Dudley Hewetson, Waipukurau. Mrs. A. Lont’cllsse senr., has arrived from Wellington to take up residence in Wanganui.
Mrs. George Meuli, Oriental Bay, Woffington, who has been visiting Wanganui left yesterday lor Palmerstun North. Mrs Reid Anderson who has been the guest of her mother, Mrs. B. N. T Blake, left recently for Auckland, accompanied by her husoand, ChaplainCaptain Reiu-Anderson. Practical ret.i gnition of the interest taken by Lord and Lady Bledisloe in the farming community of New Zealand has been expressed by the Hamilton branch of the W.D.F.U., whose members have k.at’ed a white woollen scare for Lady bledisloe and a woollen pull-over ana a pa., of socks for Lora Bledisloe.
