SPECTACULAR RISES IN BONDS PRICES 9.30 p.m.) New York, Jan. 25. Australian and Canadian Government issues advanced vigorously on 'Change to-day. Commonwealth Government bonds attracted the greatest attention, some issues gaining three and four points. Large parcels were sold at. the highest prices in years. The 4A per cent. 1956 bonds reached £9l, 5 per ceits 1955 and 1957 sold at £9l, and New South Wales 5 per cents £92. Queensland 6 per cents 1947 were strongly favoured at £97. Some Canadian issues sold above par.
