ATTACKED BY NAZIS ' Rugby, Jan. 3. It was officially states tab afternoon that a few enemy aircraft dropped bombs on the Isle of Wight. Damage was done and there were casualties, some of their falal. Bombs were also dropped at a place on the south-east coast of England, but little damage was caused, and no one was seriously injured. There has been considerable activity by the R.A.F. over the Channel. Heavv bombers. escorted by fighters, attacked the docks at St. Nazaire. An Air Ministry communique states: Mosquitoes bombed railways targets in northern France. Fighter Command aircraft bombed the docks at Bruges. One aircraft attacked an airfield in Holland. None of our planes is missing.”—B.O.W. 4
