MUST PREPARE FOR HEAVY LOSSES
(Recd. 9 p.m.) Ottawa, Jan. 1. Broadcasting a New Year’s message, the Prime Minister, Mr. Mackenzie King, warned the Canadians: "All our armed forces will be in action in 1943. We must be prepared for heavy losses in a task that will be more difficult and probably longer than many realise."
