‘A blessing that money cannot buy’ Tea rationed, sugar rationed, petrol rationed, clothes rationed . .. Well, what of it? Do these trivial sacrifices really matter? How often has any one of us, outside the fighting forces, had to go without a meal, or a bed, or a roof? Our Government asks us not to spend needlessly. Every skilled worker, every machine, every ounce of raw materials that can be harnessed to war production will help to bring victory sooner. In the meantime, nobody is likely to suffer serious want. Let us offset the inconveniences of the times by appreciating the ‘blessing that money cannot buy’— health. Health is not rationed. Fitness is not restricted. Anyone can have all the health he is capable of building up, free and tax-free. The better our health, the better we shall be able to carry our responsibilities, the better serve our country in its hour of gravest need. Inserted by E.
