GEARED FOR WAR
AMERICAN FIGURES (Recd. 9 p.m.) Washington, Dec. 28. The Manpower Director, Mr. Paul McNutt, announced that America's war forces, including armed services, would total 62,500,000 in 1943 with the employment of an additional 2,500,000 workers. He added that this year 12,900,000 were engaged in agriculture. Of these 600,000* were women. It ikas expected that by the end of 1943 women agriculturists would number 1,000,000, besides 6,000,000 women in war plants.
