THE ANON TRUST
Through the generous action of an anonymous Wairarapa resident, exservicemen who are handicapped in life as a result of their war service, and are in necessitous circumstances, will obtain a measure of relief. In accordance with the wishes of the donor, £9320 in Government Stock has been set aside to form a fund to be known as the Anon Trust Fund. The deed of trust stipulates that the fund shall be “for the benefit of soldiers, sailors, airmen, nurses and members of the Merchant Navy, who being permanently domiciled within the Dominion of New Zealand, shall have served or shall serve in any way in which New Zealand has been or shall at any time be engaged, and who shall have suffered, or shall suffer, temInorary or permanent disability through wounds or sickness, or whose opportunities for advancement in life or earning a livelihood have been or shall be prejudiced as a result, of war service, and also f or the benefit of the children or widows of any of the above-mentioned persons who gave their lives or have been permanently or temporarily disabled in the service of the Emnire.”
