SECOND WOOL APPRAISAL Wool being valued at the second Wanganui appraisal of the current season is early shorn and taken generally is said to be in good condition. The appraisal was begun on Monday and will be concluded tomorrow. A catalogue of 27,210 bales is being offered, an increase of 3102 bales compared with the second Wanganui appraisal for the 1941-42 season. The number of bales being offered by the various brokers is as follow: Dalgety and Co., Ltd., 2359. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., 4508. Farmers’ Co-op. Organisation Society, Ltd., 4659. Freeman R. Jackson and Co., Ltd. 3304. Johnston and Co.. Ltd., and Murray Roberts, Ltd., 2374. Lovin and Co.. Ltd., 1898. Wright, Stephenson and Co., and Newton King, Ltd., 6216. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., 1888. The Government valuers are headed by Mr. A. Smith, head appraiser for the North Island, the others being Messrs. C. H. Carlton, C. L. Hughes, D. P. Walker, A. M. Yartakover, R. Cau, G. Jorion, R. Varlow, M. Kunzli, F. Scarfe, E. Hazelton, and N. Le Cron.
