Aft GIANT IN BRITAIN

The world’s largest aircraft, the Glenn Martin Mars U.S. Navy flyingboat, recently arrived in Britain on its first official flight. The Mars will not need to refuel f|r the return flight, as its range enables It to fly to Europe and back non-stop. The 70-ton flying-boat has a wing span of 200 feet, and is powered by four 2000 horse-power motors. Space in the hull is equivalent to that in a 16-roomed house and the aircraft can carry 150 fully armed men and a crew of 11.
