SENIOR AND GRADE MATCHES Two senior Rugby games will be played on Spriggens Park on Saturday. At 3 p.m. Beavers will meet United, the early game being between Carriers and Battalion. They a.re: Saturday, May 23, v. Waiouru, in Wanganui; v. Taranaki, on King's Day, Monday, June 1 (if declared a holiday), in Wanganui; if not played on that date the match will be played on Saturday, June 13; v. Manawatu, June 27, in Wanganui; v. Taranaki, July 12, at New xd}mouth; v. Manawatu, July 31, at Palmerston North. Mr. H. H. Whiting was appointed manager of the Wanganui team lor the Vvaiouru engagement. The loilowing admission charges were fixed: Ground Is, stand Is. Mr. H. E. Card donated £5 5s to further the interests of the game of Rugby. il was decided to give £2 2s to the United Club and £3 3s lo be ear-mark-ed for primary schools’ Rugby. A copy of the New Zeaiand Rugby Union’s report and balance-sheet was read and approved. The matter of the purchase of school footballs was left to the secretary and treasurer. ii was resolved that all cups be competed lor except the senior championship cup. Two new teams, the Beavers and Carriers, were nominated for the Senior B Grade. The meeting was presided over by Mr. J. Moye.
