AIR CASUALTIES
(P.A.) Parliament Bldgs., March 20. The following Air Force casualties were announced to-night 'all R.N.Z.A.F. unless otherwise specified':--Flying-Officer James Robert Anderson, D.F.C.. R.A.F. seriously injured in air operations and interned in Eire. Mrs. G. A. Corkin. Auckland (m.). Acting Flying-Officer Harold Eric Hunter, killed in aircraft accident. Mrs. H. E. Hunter. Pareora East (m.) Sergeant Charles Ronald Snence. Missing in air operations. Mrs. C. R. Spence. Invercargill (w.) Flying-Officer Hector Hugh Crawford, previously reported missing, now reclassified as missing believed killed. Mr. W. Crawford. New Plymouth (f.) Pilot-Officer George Edmond Guthrie, previously reported missing, now reclassified as a prisoner of war. Mr. H. E. Guthrie. Feilding (f.) Sergeant William Higgins, previously reported serously injured, now removed from serious list. Mrs. Higgins. Canada (m.) JAMES ALLEN WARD. V.C., previously reporter’ missing believed killed in September. 1941. death now officially presumed. Mrs. P. H. Ward. Wanganui (m.)
