VETERAN FIGURE
DEATH OF MR. A. SELBY. (P.A.) Auckland, March 21. The death has occurred of Mr. Arthur Selby, most widely-known and best-loved sporting figure in the Auckland province. He was 97 years ol age. The dignified and picturesque figure of Mr. Selby, who, for 36 years, was clerk of the course at the Ellerslie racecourse, will be remembered by many thousands of racegoers.
