Lincoln Street, has returned after a holiday spent in Napier. Mrs. J. C. Rockett has returned from a short visit to Cambridge. Mrs. G. Trayle and her small son have returned from Wellington. Miss Marion Billing will leave todav for Feilding. Mr. Colin Tappin. of Feilding. who has been spending a few flays as the s uest of Mr. and Mrs. F. Billing, has returned home. Mrs. Paterson will leave to-day for a visit to Stratford. Mr. and Mrs. Priest, Wanganui, are spending a holiday with their son. Mr. S. A. W. Priest. Patea. MARTOX. Advice has been received by Mr. S. H. Hunt, of Marlon, of the death al Wellington on Wednesday, of Mrs 11. Hands (nee Miss Fanny Hunt) second daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hunt of Marton, and n sister of Mr. S. H. Hunt. Mr. Hands and a daughter are the survivin’ re la fives. Sergeant W. J. Brown, of Palmerston North, has been appointed a. oflicer in charge of the Marton Polio Station, to fill the vacancy creater by the death of the late Sergeant T F. Bren ch ley.
