FLUNKF.T SOCIETY BRANCH A committee meeting of the Marlon branch of the Plunket Society was InWd on Monday in the Plunket nurse's room. Present: Mesdames C. A. Tidy (in the chair)-, D. Ingle, W. F. Stevens. J. Stanford, C. S. Beechey, E. W. Caulton, J. Jobberns, R. G. Kingdom J. F. Wallace, Misses M. Flower and L. Cook. As (he competition for the making of a dress (promised by Mrs. H. 'l. Wilkie) has resulted in a tie between Mrs. L. Duckworth and Mrs. D. B. Sladden, a draw was held by the committee, resulting in Mrs. D. B. Sladcen winning. A cordial vote of thanks was passed to the Marton committee of St. John Ambulance Association who, through Mrs. W. Raine, had sent two parcels of excellent waSffl clothing for babies for the Plunket nurse to distribute in an emergency. Follow mg is the Plunket nurse's report for February: In Marton 7 new baby cases. 150 babies under supervision, 36 visits to homes. 452 at the rooms, 110 pre-school children under supervision. 46 telephone calls, 6 letters. At Bulls, 5 new cases 48 babies and 23 children under supervision, 128 at the rooms, 4 visits paid. At Turakina 1 new case, 15 babies and 6 children under supervision, 16 visits to homes, 16 at the room. At Rata 12 babies and 8 children under supervision, 9 visits paid. 15 at the icom. At Hunterville, 1 new ease, 44 babies and 20 children under supervision, 71 at the room. RANGITIKEI CRICKET Foilowing are the competition fixtures for Saturday: Marton v. Old Boys, at Marton; R.N.Z.A.F. v. Hunterville. at Marton. The following team will represent Marton Club: G. Birch, L. Smith, K. Price, E. Bailey, L. Hamer, S. Allan, R. Lewis, W. Sanders, E. Henderson. - B. Smart and P. Corballis. A REMINDER The studio of Viola Barker's School I of Dancing, 2 Harris Street, Marlbi., will be open to-morrow night (Saturday. March 14) and every Saturday for dancing. Particulars on inquiry. W.W.S.A. COMMITTEE . The fortnightly meeting of the W.W.S.A. Committee was held on Wednesday evening. Miss E. H. K. The Auxiliary Comforts Committee will be grateful for any garments that can be spared, and after making provision lor local emergency need> will send the surplus to the guild headquarters in Wellington A short course of instruction in obstetrical lirst-aid is shortly to ne given by the Government health nurse. CIVIC THEATRE, MARTON "LOVE CRAZY” When William Powell and Myrna Loy are billed together, audiences are sure of laughs.
