ANNUAL PAIRS BOWLING DRAW FOR TO-MORROW The Wanganui Bowling Centre’s Gordon Pairs competition will be played on the Wanganui Club’s green to-morrow, commencing at 8.45 a.m., sharp. Following is the automatic draw:First Round.- I. Fleming and Herd (St. John’s) v. H. Otto and Bidlake (Castlecliff); Dempster and Partridge (Wanganui East) v. Barclay and Boyd (Wanganui); Perry and S. Thomas (Ohakune) v. Blomfield and Hunwick (Gonville); Billinghurst and Jack (Rapanui) v. McMillan and C. Thomas (Ohakune); Tippins and Haworth (Wanganui East) v. Melville and Duncan (Castlecliff); A. Handley and G. Handley (Rapanui) v. M. Anderson and Mailman (Gonville). Byes.—Gilmour and H. Tilley (Wanganui), Wallace and Benefield (St. John’s). Mr. A. W. Jones will be the umoire. Three bowls wil] be used, and the games will be 21 ends with a time limit of 2} hours. The luncheon adjournment will be of 45 minutes’ duration, from 1 p.m. till 1.45 p.m. ONE-DAY TOURNEY ST. JOHN’S BOWLING CLUB A successful one-day tournament was held on the St. John’s Bowling Club’s green yesterday, the following teams taking part:—Cameron, Laughton, S. Marr; Otto. Ansell. Brass; Hunger, Nuttall, Hewetson; Williams, G. Green, Moffatt; Scott, Anderson. W. D. Harris,; Smith, W. Marr. Downey, Gilbertson: Hay. Rickard. F. Pepper, Fletcher: Anslev. Davidson, Ormsby. Green: Walton, W. Brown, Bassett B;ird Wells. Kirk. Kerr. Five rounds were played and the teams skipped by Fletcher, Bassett and Green tied with 4 wins. Green drew the bye. and Fletcher beat Bassett. In the final game Fletcher beat Green.
