38 TONS OFFERED IN DUNEDIN. DUNEDIN, March In. A good offering qf approximately 38 ton;was offered at to-day’s rabbitskin sale. There was a fairly good demand and values as compared with tne February sale showed litth change, with the exception of milkies, which were slow of sale. At present prices, trapping is a payable proposition and trappers are advised to forward consignments to brokers' stores from time to time, as a sale may be held at short notice. Following is the official range of pricees:—Small, 49{d to 64d a lb. ; runners, GGd to 75J.d; racks, 76Jd to 85d: back-season racks, 68d to 69d; summers, 46d to 53Jd ; tawny autumns, 76id to 77d; early autumns, 7Gl<l to 77d ; outgoing wintei buck.-, Sial to !'4jil; spring bucks, 70jd to 71(1; summer broken, 54d to 56d ; milky, 44d to 48s . summer fawns, 30d to 44d ; summer black, 71(1 to 72r. Hareskins to 245; horsehair, 27jd to 29jd ; ferrets, 5d to Is ; weavily, 39Jd to 44d. PUKEKGHE PRODUCE PRICES Pukekohe, March 9. Continuous hot, dry weather is now baking up the agricultural land round Pukekohe and the yield of vegetables is being heavily am vi.. Lukeiioue potatoes are now practically off the market and should dry weather continue autumn crops for seed this year may be rather startingly light. There appears to be no current price for Pukekohe table potatoes as virtually none were moving to-day. Rangitikei being relied on even here to supp<y local requirements. Pukekohe onions were going away to-day at a price up to 17s a cwt. Growers are now releasing supplies of onions fairly freely. Usually up to this time of tne year they have disposed of only about 30 per cent, of the crop, but this year it is estimated that only 50 per cent, now remains, despite the fact that a greater tonnage was grown here this season than last. Red pumpkins are still falling in value, being down to 10s a cwt. to-day, which is a drop of Is since last Monday. The finish of the season’s grey pumpkins are now going away and are bringing 18s a cwt. Swede turnips which were Gs 6d a sugar bag a week ago have hardened in some quarters to 7s. while carrots are at 14s a sugar bag, which is a rise of Is in the week. Cabbages bring up to 10s a Chapman bag, which is an advance of 3s Gd in the period.
