NEW AREA COMMANDER
LIEUT.-COLONEL S. H. GOULD APPOINTMENT AN NOUNCED The appointment of LieutenantColonel S. H. Gould. N.Z.T.S.. oflicei commanding the Fourth Battalion. ‘Wellington Regiment, as area commander, with headquarters in Wanqanui, is announced. He succeeds .Lieutenant-Colonel L. IL Jardine D. 5.0., M.C.. who has gone to Wellington. Lieutenant-Colonel Gould was formerly area oiiicer in Wanganui am: went, overseas on a special mis-sion last year. On his return he re lumec his office as area officer. Recently he was appointed officer commandinc the Fourth Battalion, Wollingtor Regiment. Area 6 extends from the Waitotara River to Waikanae. Included in the command are various Home Guare formations and Territorial battalions together with former National Military Reserve battaloins.
