WINTER NEEDS
GOEBBELS’ APPEAL FOR GERMAN SOLDIERS (Recd. 7.30 p.m.) London, Dec. 20. Appealing to Germans to send every serviceable article of winter equipment to the front. Goebbels, in a broadcast said: “We are opposed to an enemy superior in numbers and material on the eastern front. What the Germans are missing at home is merely discomfort compared with the soldiers’ privations. We at home | have felt the war comparatively little, 'despite all air attacks.” ! Goebbels’ message the broadcast | declared, was from Hitler.
