JAPANESE INVADERS EFFECTIVE NEW MORTAR. Singapore, Dec. 18. All reports emphasise the lightness of the equipment of the Japanese. The heaviest items oi Japanese arms are a light tank and also a type of two-man machine-gun carrier. The invaders are employing camouflage effectively by day. emerging from hiding at night.
