TERRITORIES OF RHODESIA
AMALGAMATION QUESTION. Rugby, Dec. 10. Replping to a question in the House of Commons about a recent meeting l between members of the Legislative I Council of the Northern Rhodesia and ' the Prime Minister of Southern Rhodesia to discuss arrangements for a conference on the amalgamation of the two territories early next year, the Under-Secretary for the Colonies i pointed out that the invitation from lhe Prime Minister of Southern Rhodesia was addressed to the unofficial communities of Northern Rhodesia and Nysaland. The Government of these two territories would not be presented or represented nor in any j committed to any conclusoins which might he reached at the conference. — 8.0.W.
