More than 150 girls took part in colourful and specta<iilar exhibitions. the programme concludin’: with a massed display in which 12 teams took part The gathering was arranged by the Wanganui Marching Association and was favoured with perfect weather. Tne high standard of marching seen yesterday indicated that the teams have devoted much time and practice to their work. Officials conducting the demonstration said they were particularly gratified with the displays given by the girls. Three bands, the Wanganui Garrison Band. Wanganui Highland Pipe Band, and the Queen Alexandra s Mounted Rifles Band, were in attendance. The programme was well conducted. each item following without delay Several of the teams gave individual demonstrations, their displays being varied and interesting.
