Il appears to me that the first obii- t gat .on. and I may say courtesy of a Major is to ask the surrounding county councils to co-operate wit hi them. By I mean that if the rail-; way is damaged the only means of act ess to a ourough is by road anil' those roads are under the county's I jurisdiction, and. further, only county representatives can order work to be_ done on the county road and not a local mayor. In the past, during th.s war. the; collection of money has fallen pretty j hard on the country people, more so than on the people living in town, by i reason ot the distances people live apart in the country an! by restric-| lion of benzine, but when it comes to the administration the little mayors th.nk we. the country people., should not have a say in the matter;» but I say that the country people, have a.* much r«ght as the town people in administration.
