SUMMERTIME IN NEW ZEALAND
ONE HOUR SUGGESTED MATTER RAISED IN THE HOI SE <P.AJ Parliament Bldgs., Sept. 30. A suggestion that summer-time” be extended to an hour daily as an economy measure for at least the duration of lhe war was made by Mr. W. R. McKeen (Govt. Wellington i South» in a notice of question to the Primo Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, when the House of Representatives mot at 2.30 p.m. to-day. Mr. McKeon asked if the Prime Minister would consider the suggested extension before the conclusion of the session, and he mentioned that many industries would benefit ma 4 ?r«a!ly by such o tension, which was also favoured by power hoards.
