(Press Assn.) Feilding, Sept. 19. High prices for fat wether's and hoggets were fully maintained at the stock sale to-day with a heavy yarding, but fat ewes were slightly easier. Woolly fats brought 8s a head above shorn. The store sheep department maintained a high level, with a very keen demand for ewe hoggets. Taranaki buyers, wlio were in force, operated for dairy stock, buying freely and keeping up good prices. There was a fail' offering of run cattle, which sold at good prices. Fat cattle rates were maintained bul. quality wa s somewhat lacking. Ox beef went lo 40s per 1001 b. Following is the range of prices:—• Fat hoggets, very prime, 335; prime, to 32s 4d; good, 28s 7d to 31s 6d; lighter, from 26s 4d; shorn, about 8s less. Fat wethers, extra prime, 335, prime, 31s 7d to 32s 4d; good, 28s lOd to 29s lOd; fair, from 24s lOd. Prime ewes, 20s lOd; very prime, to 21s 4d; good, 19s Id to 19s 7d; lighter, from 15s 6d, with shorn about 4s cheaper. Stores: Wether hoggets, very good, 235; good, 19s 3d to 21s; others, from 17s Bd. Ewe hoggets, very good, 365; good, 33s 7d; shorn, 28s. Dairy springing heifers, close to calving, £ll 5s to £l4 ss; others, from £9 7s 6d. Springing cows, close to profit, £ll 10s to £l2 15s; others, from £lO. Run cattle, £4 ss; bullocks, £9 18s; cows, £6 to £6 12s 6d. Fat bullocks, light, prime, £9 7s 6d to £l2 12s 6d; fat cows, prime. £6 12s 6d to £8 17s 6d; ex-dairy cows, to £7 2s 6d; vealers. £3 10s.
