DAILY INTERCESSION

I will, therefore, that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. (1 Timothy ii: 8).

Almighty God, Who judges aright, we have called unto Thee and appealed unto Thee to judge our cause, because we believe that this conflict has been forced upon us in defence of those things by which alone men can live, and because we continue it, not only for our own sakes, but for the freelorn of peoples oppressed. Yet we do humbly acknowledge that our ways have not always been right with Thee, and even in this time of crisis there are many who still sin against Thee, in thought, word and deed. Do, Thou, therefore, turn first the hearts of all our people unto Thee, that we may be fully Thy people; Thine agents for the setting up in this world of Thy righteous and gracious dominion. Save us for Thy mercy’s sake, and -when Thou hearest, forgive . Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
