PROMOTIONS GAZETTED CHANGES AMONG SENIOR OFFICERS (Press Assn.) Wellington, Aug. 14. Among the appointments, promotions and transfers of members of the Second N.Z.E.F. gazetted to-nighr is the notification that Brigadier N. S. Falla relinquishes the appointment of commandant. Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force Base, on being plac'd on the New Zealand roll. Lieut.-Colonel J. M. Allen relinquishes command of the 31st. (Auckland) Battalion and is appointed Io command the 21st. (Auckland) Battalion. vice Lieut.-Colonel M. L. Macky, who relinquishes the command. Major D. F. Leckie is appointed to command (he 23rd. (CanterburyOtago) Battalion temporarily, vic? Lieut.-Colonel A. S. Falconer, who becomes temporary brigadier. Major R. C. Queree relinquishes his appointment as brigade-major 2nd. New Zealand Divisional Artillery and is appointed Genera! Staff Officer, sec-ond-grade. 2nd. Now Zealand Division vice Major F. L. H. Davis, who relinquishes the appointment and ceases to he seconded.
