KINDERGARTEN SPRINTS EXHIBITION GALLOP AT VICTORIA PARK I (Recd. 1155 p.m.) Sydney, Aug. 13. Kindergarten appeared in public for the first Time in Australia in an exhibition gallop at Victoria Park to-day. With the New Zealand jockey. H. N. Wiggins, in the saddle, Kindergarten, accompanied by Lucrative and Henchman, sprinted over half a mile. The New Zealand champion gave the other pair about two lengths’ start and overtook them at the turn. A strong cold, head wind prevailed. Kindergarten won, defeating Lucrative o\ a neck, with Henchman about a length farther back, in 46isec, Kindergarten's first furlong from a galloping start was done in 12sec., which is regarded as excellent. He received an ovation from the crowd.

WIN FOR YOURS TRULY (Recd. 11.55 p.m.) Sydney, Aug. 13. At the races at Victoria l'-ark to-day Yours Truly (winner of the 1939 N.Z. Cup) won the Victoria Park Handicap from Rhythmic and Bonafide. The Limarch gelding Druce won the Second Division of the Novice Handicap.—U.P A. BRISBANE MEETING (Reed. 11.55 p.m.) Brisbane, Aug. 13. The Ascot Metropolitan Handicap to-day resulted: St. Andrew 7.11 (Hughes) 1, Ahspear-8.9 (Spencer) 2, Aralys 7.11 (McGrowdie) 3. Head; three lengths. Time, 2.302.—U.P.A.
