Rain fell and the games were played in very heavy, muddy condition.'-. Had it been fine the Wanganui backs would have done much better. Donald scored all the points tor the first fifteen, scoring a try alter a dribbling rush and kicking two penally goals. Te Aute scored in the second spell. For the Wanganui seconds. Stratford scored a try and Collins converted it. Te Aute scored two unconverted tries.
