ADVANCE IN VALUES WANGANUI STOCK SALE DEMAND FOR FAT CATTLE All fat stock, sheep, cattle and porkers sold at the Wanganui sale yesterday were disposed of at values in advance of last week's prices, report Freeman R. Jackson and Company, Ltd. Cattle were up 10s and fat ewes were 2s 6d dearer. A light entry of fat wethers sold at high figures, extra prime well-woolled sheep selling up to 395. No store sheep were yarded. Fat cattle sold well under keen competition with another 'advance on last week's rise. All store 'cattle were fully firm. Entries in the 'dairy section were of mixed quality 'and sold accordingly. In spite of a 'heavy entry of porkers there was a good advance on last week, with a ikeen sale on all stores. Vealers sold 'fully firm at late rates. i Values were:—

1 Sheep.—Wethers, extra prime, to ; 395; fat, 28s to 31s 6d; prime ewes, 18s to 20s; fat, 16s to 17s 9d; light, Ils 6d to 14s. Cattle.—Light bullocks, £8 10s to £lO 2s 6d: prime P.A. cows, £B.los to £9 ss; light. £7 10s to £8 ss; fat Jersey cows, £6 to £7 10s; light, £4 10s to' £5 15s; crossbred 3-year steers, £6 4s to £7 18s; P.A. breeding cows. £5 17s; paddock cows. £4 to £5; boner I cows, £2 to £4 ss; 2-year P.A. heifers. £4 10s to £5 6s; yearling do., £4 2s 6d; small. £2 15s; small yearling Jersey heifers, £2 6s to £4 7s 6d; dairy cows, close to profit, £7 10s to £9; backward and aged. £4 to £5 10s; backward heifers, £5 5s to £7 10s. Pigs.—Baconers. £3 14s to £3 18s; heavy porkers. £2 5s to £2 15s; average. 40s to 455; light. 30s to 40s; sows land litters. £6 10s to £7 10s; sows, to farrow. £6 5s to £7 ss; good stores, 130 s to 355: average, 26s to 30s; good iweaners, 20s to 235; average, 16s to 19s.

Vealers. —2-year heifers, prime. £7 10s to £8; runners. £4 to £6: vealers. £2 to £3; good P.A. calves, 30s to 455.
