1058 MEN FROM WANGANH ROLL HAS BEEN COMPILED Through the courtesy of the Army Department, Wanganui, the Wanganui Air Force Relations Committee and the Navy League, the Patriotic Committee has been able to compile an alphabetical roll of all the men from the city who have joined the armed forces—Army, Navy and Air Force—for service overseas. The list contains 1058 names and will be added to as more men are drafted lor service. There are 837 names of men in the Army, 152 in the Air Force and 69 in the Navy. Compilation of the list was left by the Patriotic Committee to Mr. F. H. Bethwaitc. who, laying it on the table at. a meeting yesterday, said that he had received efficient help from Warrant-Officer W. Rusden, of the Army Office, Wanganui, from where the great proportion of the names had been obtained. It was decided to write and express appreciation of WarrantOfficer Rusden’s work. Efforts are to be made by Ihe j Patriotic Committee |o keep the list i up to date. Names wilt be obtained I through the courtesy of the Air Force Relations Committee, the Navy; League and the Army Department I from lime to time.
