DISCHARGED SOLDIER’S FINE GESTURE (0.C.) Hunterville. Aug. 11. Much favourable comment was voiced by members at Saturday night’s meeting of Ihe Hunterville and District Patriotic Committee wh n n a leti ter was received from Mr. E. G. i Harrie, who had been discharged from ' camp through a disability. i The writer stated that ho had boon I farewelled from Hunterville, but at la later date the disability had led to I his discharge from the Army. He enj closed a donation of £1 for the I “Heart-to-Heart” Anneal and also in- ( timated that he was returning the gifts received at his farewell, as he did not think he should keep them because ho could not get overseas. The fine spirit in which the letter was written was commended by members. Warm thanks were accorded him for his donation and it was menI tinned that doubtless his gifts would I be returned to him.
