VALUABLE LIBRARY SAVED
MOSCOW ACADEMY OF SCIENCE (Recd. 6.30 p.m.) Rugby, Aug. 9. The library of the Moscow Academy of Science, one of the world's largest, containing 3,000,000 volumes, was hit by several dozen incendiary bombs in recent raids, states a Press message. Sixteen members of the library staff fought the incendiaries so effectively I hat not a single book was lost. — 8.0.W.
