CASUALTIES TOTAL 1682 236 KILLED IN ACTION (Recd. 6.30 p.m.) Sydney, July 20. The total Australian casualties in the Syrian campaign were 1682. The killed in action totalled 236, including 26 officers. _ The died of wounds 61, including four officers. The missing, believed killed, seven. The wounded in action numbered 1049, including 73 officers. Wounded and missing, 32, including nine officers. Missing 177, including three officers. Missing, believed prisoners, 64.
