MAILS FOR MIDDLE EAST FORCES

DESPATCH FROM N.Z. BACK TO NORMAL (Press Assn.) Wellington, July IS. The Postmaster-General, the Hon. P. Webb, announced to-day that, according to recent advices, the air-mail service from New Zealand to troops in the Middle East is getting back to normal. Recent events in Iraq had the effect of increasing the transit time taken by air mails, but the position now is that, although the service is still slightly irregular, letters are being received in "Egypt approximately 14 days after despatch from the Dominion. S/ face mails, too, have improved.
