At the V.A.T.C. meeting yesterday at Flemington results included:— Murrumbeana Handicap.—Koorenbeen 8.3 (Reed) 1, Brave Lady 7.8 (Beresford) 2, Heart’s Desire 7.2 (Tully) 1. One and a-half lengths; three-quarters of a length. Time, 1.441. Malvina Welter.—Swettenham 8.3 (McDonald) 1, Cumulus 9.8 (Creighton) 2, Courage 8.12 (Clarke) 3. Three lengths; one and a-quarter lengths. Time, 1.461.—U.P.A. Although the cabled message makes no reference to any other results of New Zealand interest the juvenile race (seven furlongs) was won by Murmuring, the Bulandshar Tea Tattle colt purchased at the 1940 yearling sales a' Trentham at 2000 guineas by Mr. W. Wheeler, on behalf of Mr. John Wren. —("Kestrel.”)
