TEACHING APPOINTMENTS CONFIRMED
WANGANUI DISTRICT LIST THREE HEADMASTERS In the list of teaching appointments confirmed at the monthly meeting of the Wanganui Education Board yesterday were three headmasters. They w'ere Mr. E. C. Stretton (Patea), Mr. A. R. Wills (Rangiotu) and Mr. C. S. Wood (Waitotara). Other appointments were: Mr. J. L. C. Davey, sole teacher, Maungaroa Road; Miss J. K. Hounsell, sole teacher, Okoia; Miss A. T. Fowles, infant mistress, Russell Street; Miss F. M. Louisson, assistant mistress, Fitzherbert East; Miss C. M. Cassels, assistant mistress, Keith Street Infants; Miss E. E. Shand, assistant mistress, Tawhero. War Appointments.—Mr. H. G. Schroader, sole teacher, Kawautahi Road; Mr. G. S. Stuckey, sole teacher, Maungaroa Road. It was reported that the following teachers were leaving the board’s service: Miss G. E. Ross, head teacher. Keith Street Infants; Miss A. M. Whitehead, assistant mistress, Kopane; Miss N. Palmer, domestic science instructress, Taihape. Teachers appointed to other positions in the board’s service are: Mr. D. Wilkinson, head teacher, Rangiotu; Miss A. T. Fowles, assistant mistress. Manchester Street (special class); Miss M. E. Johanson, assistant mistress, Orangimea.
